Write A Letter to the Editor
One of the most effective things you can do to share your opinion and support is to write a letter to the editor.
Using the form below, you can write a letter and send it to the editor of several area ublications automatically.
When writing your letter, remember to be concise, clear, and on the issues if you want the editors to choose to publish your letter. Most publications put a limit of 300 words on letters.
TIPS:
1 – To keep your letter from being too long, as well as to avoid typos, it’s a good idea to use a word processor software that can count words and does spellcheck, such as the free Open Office Writer (www.openoffice.com) to write your first draft, and then copy & paste it in here.
2 – Also, if you write your letter to the editor in your word processor, you can copy & paste it in here again and again, to send your letter to multiple publications.
3 – If you prefer to use your own email program, choose an editors email address from the list below:
Mason City Globe Gazette: news@globegazette.com
Des Moines Register: lfandel@dmreg.com
THANK YOU FOR SPEAKING UP!
